Sunderland Recovery College - new prospectus

Sunderland Recovery College offers a range of free recovery focused educational courses for people with lived mental health experience, their family and friends.

The courses are free and designed to contribute to recovery and wellbeing, supporting people to recognise their own talent and resourcefulness in order to become experts in their own self management, make informed choices and achieve the things they want to in life.

Canine Companions - Vote now!

21st anniversary logoFor some carers owning a dog can make them feel less isolated.  A dog can provide companionship and taking a dog for a walk can help carers keep active and healthy and gives them the chance to meet and chat to other dog walkers.

As part of our 21st anniversary celebrations and our local campaign to raise awareness about the impact that social isolation can have on carers Sunderland Carers' Centre invited carers to nominate their "Canine Companions" in our Dog of the Year Competition.

Thank you to the carers who entered their dogs.  The nomination stage is closed and we are now at the voting stage.

We would like to invite all carers, their families and friends to vote for their favourite dog.

You can vote via our facebook page: click here

If you are not on facebook you can also vote by emailing us the name of your favourite dog:
