Are you affected by the substance use and mental health problems of a loved one? Get involved with Adfam’s Dual Diagnosis group at Sunderland Carers in 2020.

Through a consultation, affected families have requested a focus on support, advocacy and research. We will raise awareness and highlight the impact on families of supporting with someone with a ‘dual diagnosis’. We will provide support to one another and learn together. We will take part in creative activities to improve wellbeing and express ourselves. Those who would like to will contribute to research to influence locally for improved support and provision.

Our kitchen is available any time for carers to make themselves a coffee and a chat. However, we have prearranged dates to meet up with other carers for a coffee morning. Staff will not be running these meetings, but there will be someone available if you would like specific one to one support.
