The carers emergency contact card scheme is operated by Sunderland Care and Support. It provides carers and the people they care for with an opportunity to plan in advance for emergencies and identify who the carer would like to contact in cases of emergency, when they are unable to care. Once you have registered your details you will be given a pocket-sized card to keep with you, which will have a telephone number to ring in an emergency. The card will also have a reference number, unique to you, for people to quote when contacting Care and Support. The card will have no personal details about you on it.
