Sunderland Carers’ Centre is an independent charity that has provided information, advice and guidance to people in unpaid caring roles for 22 years. We are looking to recruit dynamic, self – motivated individuals to embed carers support services through a whole family integrated approach across the city of Sunderland.

Carers Information, Advice and Guidance Co-Ordinator

35 hours per week: £20,287.20

25 days holiday per year

Sunderland Carers Centre is the centre point of support for all unpaid Carers in Sunderland, providing vital advice and support to families with caring roles.

Delivering services across the City of Sunderland area, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Carer Information, Advice and Guidance Co-ordinator.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills, with an ability to work in a busy environment.

The role involves co-ordination of referrals and prioritising activity required to effectively support carers, providing accurate and appropriate information, advice and guidance to carers.

Host organisation for Sunderland’s independent Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Information Advice Support Service (SENDIASS) an exciting opportunity has arisen for a SENDIASS Lead 

The successful candidate will have knowledge and understanding of SEND legislation, excellent interpersonal skills through which they can effectively provide impartial SEND information, advice and support to families.

Carer and Family Support Link Worker

35 hours per week: £22,888.00

Sunderland Carers Centre is the centre point of support for all unpaid Carers in Sunderland, providing vital advice and support to families with caring roles.

Delivering services across the City of Sunderland area, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Carer and Family Support Link Worker. 

The successful candidate will have great communication and organisational skills and be able to provide solution focussed support to carers and their families.

The role includes supporting carers via telephone and face to face contact, attending meetings, facilitating carer peer support groups and providing information, advice and guidance.
